Today we’re diving into wash day—a form of self-care that every mom deserves! In this blog post, I’m writing about my latest wash day session and will be reviewing Rihanna’s brand-new hair care line, Fenty Hair. First Impressions: Rihanna’s Entry into Haircare
Rihanna is known for her music, fashion, and iconic hairstyles. But when I heard she was launching Fenty Hair, I had some doubts—mainly because I’ve mostly seen her in wigs and extensions. However, when she launched the brand with her natural curls on display,I was intrigued! As someone who has been natural for more than 10 years, I wanted to do a fenty hair review to see how well it worked with my natural curls.
The Fenty Hair Aesthetic & Formula
One thing Rihanna emphasized was nailing the fragrance. The scent notes include golden amber, lemon, sparkling yuzu, freesia, lily, and coconut—sounds fancy, right? While I’m not a fragrance connoisseur, for those who are, this is for you!
Beyond the fragrance, the line is cruelty-free, vegan, sulfate-free, silicone-free, gluten-free, and DEA-free. It also features Replinicore 5 technology, which claims to repair, strengthen, hydrate, smooth, and protect hair while preventing split ends and bleaching damage.
As someone dealing with postpartum hair loss, I was eager to see if these products could help minimize breakage.
Packaging: Pretty & Functional

Fenty Hair’s pastel-colored packaging is not just for aesthetics—it helps with visibility in the shower. The bottles also feature textured grips, making them easier to hold with wet hands. This level of attention to detail? Genius.
The Products I Purchased for My Fenty Hair Review
To do this Fenty Hair Review I knew I had to narrow it down because, let’s be honest, I have a lot of hair products. Here’s what I chose:
- The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner ($29)
- The Home Curl Curl Defining Cream ($28)
- The 3-in-1 Styling Brush ($29)
- (No Shampoo – Fenty, send me one, please! 😆)
Deep Conditioner Review: The Richer One Moisture Repair
This deep conditioner claims to deeply moisturize, nourish, soften, add shine, and detangle. My biggest tests for a deep conditioner? Slip, detangling, and softness.
Application & Results:
- It’s thick and creamy, which I love.
- It smells amazing—like perfume but not overpowering.
- The slip improves with more water, making detangling a breeze.
- After rinsing it out, my hair felt incredibly soft and manageable.
Verdict? A win! My hair felt moisturized and primed for styling.
Curl Defining Cream Review: The Home Curl
This was the most shocking product for me! I applied it for a two-strand twist-out and immediately noticed:
- Amazing slip—it defined my curls instantly.
- Soft hold—not crunchy, just bouncy curls.
- Moisture retention—though my hair felt dry at first, after unraveling, it felt soft and moisturized.
The 3-in-1 Styling Brush and Edge Control Review
I underestimated this tool! The metal tip parts the hair easily, and the textured grip prevents slipping when your hands are wet. Bonus? It feels amazing on the scalp! Honestly, after using the edge control for a while, it is probably my least favorite product. If you have less coily hair, I think it would work really well for you!
Twist-Out Results & Final Thoughts on Fenty Hair
After 24+ hours, my twist-out was:
- Super soft (one of the softest I’ve ever done!).
- Defined but with a light hold—great if you love fluffy curls.
- Frizz-free but may need a leave-in conditioner for longer-lasting moisture.
Final Verdict: Would I Buy Again?
Absolutely! Fenty Hair nailed the slip, detangling, and softness, though I’d recommend pairing the curl cream with a leave-in for extra moisture. If you’re looking for a luxurious-feeling natural hair product, this line is worth trying!
