Have you been struggling to get a moisturized yet defined braidout with your natural hair? Well, you’ve come to the right blog post! In this blog post, I’m going tell you exactly how I achieved this gorgeous braidout using Curl Theory products. I’m super excited to collaborate with Curl Theory, a natural hair brand that I’ve supported and believed in from the beginning, to bring you this sponsored blog post and show you how their products are a must-have in your natural hair regimen!
Curl Theory Products I used:
The two products that I’m going to be using for my braidout are the Curl Theory Miracle Worker Leave In and the Curl Theory Multi-Style Cream. The leave in conditioner contains aloe vera and castor oil to make your natural hair soft and manageable. I love using this leave in as my moisture base to prep for styling my hair. The multi-style cream contains castor and jojoba oils to help keep your natural hair moisturized and defined. If you are looking to do a style where would want amazing definition while keeping your hair moisturized, this is a MUST HAVE. If you find that you want even more shine and hold, then you can add the Curl Theory Gel Styler on top of the cream, but I didn’t have to do so for this braidout.
Braidout Tutorial Directions:
First, I started off by sectioning my natural hair into four sections. This step helps me prep my hair for when I apply the products. Then I took one of the four sections and applied the leave in conditioner. It is recommended that to apply this leave in to damp hair. So, if your hair has dried out I would suggest you add more water. I like to use this conditioner to finger detangle my hair because it has amazing slip and instantly gets rid of all the knots and tangles.
With that same section of hair, I section my hair to an even smaller section. I make this section of hair the size I want my braid. Then I apply the Curl Theory Multi-Style Cream to that piece of hair. A little goes a long way, so if you feel that you need more product add water it will help the product spread on the hair strands!
Now that both products have been applied to my hair, it’s time to braid that small section of hair. That’s it! I continue to do to this until all my hair is complete! Now the CRUCIAL tip is to now unravel the braid until your HAIR IS COMPLETELY DRY! If it’s still damp, don’t touch it.
When your hair is completely dry, it’s time to unravel the braids! First, I make sure to apply the Curl Theory Daily Treatment Oil to my hands to help elementary any frizz that may try to arise! Then I start from the ends of the braid and unravel it. If you want even more volume separate the strands from the braid out into even smaller parts! Finally use a pick or wide tooth comb to pick the roots to help with additional volume!

I find doing things like this with a cream doesn’t last for more than a day; my hair looks awful the next day until I try to salvage it back rebraiding at night. If you’re doing nothing extra for hold, how are you maintaining the style?

I make sure to wear my hair in mini pineapples at night and it keeps my hairstyle for about 4-5 days!
