Proceed With Caution Collection Tutorial and Review

I had the honor of collaborating with The Mane Choice in reviewing their newest line,  Proceed With Caution Collection.  The collection came with a shampoo, conditioner, mask, hair/edge gel and oil. Now, I will go through each item and give you my honest opinion about what I thought about it.

Slipper When Wet Shampoo

This shampoo surprised me because it left my hair feeling very moisturized. I guess I was used to some shampoos leaving my hair feeling stripped, but this one didn’t at all. It was definitely a gentle cleanser, which I loved. This shampoo also contained Japanese cherry oil, which soothes and balances the scalp!

4 Way Conditioner

The conditioner was one of my favorite products in the Proceed With Caution Collection. I loved that I had the option of using it in 4 different ways. You can choose to use it as a conditioner, co-wash, leave-in conditioner, or detangler. I used this it as a leave-in and my hair SOAKED this up! It left my hair feeling very soft and hydrated.

Stop The Damage Pre or Post Poo Mask

Even though you can use this mask as a pre-poo, I used it as a post poo mask. First of all, this mask smelled AMAZING! Second, my hair felt like it melted as soon as I applied the mask. I also loved that this mask had chia seed oil in it because it strengthens, smooths, and repairs the hair strands.

Look Both Ways Hair & Edge Gel

Okay, so this is my second favorite item in the Proceed With Caution collection. This container is spilt into two sections. One section is the hair gel and the other is the edge gel.  I used the hair gel for my twists. I was hesitant because I have never used gel to create my twist out before because some gel can leave my hair feeling hard and dry. THANKFULLY this gel did not, AND my twist out turned out so defined.

Now, the edge gel….YALL. This product really surprised me. My edges stayed in place for THREE DAYS. Yes, your read that right. I was SHOOK! Most of you know how hard it can be to find an edge control that actually works. I will definitely be using this as one of my go to edge controls.

Dangerous Lust and Shine Illuminator

The last product in the Proceed With Caution Collection is the oil. This oil smelled SO GOOD. I don’t usually find that oils have a smell, but this one did and I loved it. It contains Japanese cherry oil and chia seed oil. The Japanese cherry oil is known to nourish and protect the hair, while the chia seed oil is known to lock in moisture and hydration. My hair was shining after I applied this oil!

The Proceed With Caution Final Review:

Overall, I was very pleased with the Proceed With Caution Collection. I will definitely using this collection again and be incorporating some of it’s products in my weekly wash day routine. The Mane Choice never fails with it’s lines, but I will say this one in my new favorite.
