Have you experienced those nights when it seems like the baby just won’t go to sleep?! Whether it be because of a growth spurt or sickness. Yeah, I’ve been there. Honestly, as I’m writing this, I’m going through it because my daughter is going through a 10-month sleep regression. (Pray for me!) Or you might have older children, and you’ve signed them up for every extracurricular activity under the sun. So that means you’re always on the road!
Regardless of what the reasoning may be, being in a state where you feel tired all the time can be very challenging! Sleep deprivation is a real thing. Studies have shown that it can even affect your mental health!
When my daughter was hospitalized for 4 days, I experienced extreme sleep deprivation. This was because the nurses kept coming in every 30 minutes to 2 hours to take her vitals, which meant neither of us was getting much sleep. I distinctly remember crying one night praying to God for strength and energy to push through the tiredness. His answer was some of these Bible verses!
